A MINUTE'S silence has been held at a Police Federation summit in memory of Sergeant Louise Gibson - whose body was found yesterday.

The Federation's Sergeants' Central Committee paused ahead of its annual conference this morning to pay its respects to the 43-year-year-old.

A woman's body, believed to be that of the mother-of-three, was discovered by a walker in Crook's Wood north of Great Missenden at 3.55pm on Monday.

She was last seen leaving her parents' home in the village at about 5.30pm on Thursday. She had been on duty earlier that day, police revealed.

Officers are still in the woodland where the body was found. Police said they are currently treating the death as "unexplained".

Her three children, policeman husband John - also based at Wycombe police station - and colleagues are said to be "extremely upset".

Tributes and updates will appear on this website throughout the day.
