ENTREPRENEURS spoke about their business ideas at a specially-arranged event in Amersham last week.

Students at the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy joined forces with the Chiltern Chamber for an evening of business and networking at the Stanley Hill campus of Amersham and Wycombe College.

Academy students took turns to give a one-minute pitch of their latest projects, with Andrew Hyde impressing enough to be offered patent advice and a pledge for support from Bucks Business First.

Heather Martin of Bucks Business First was among the speakers, as was former Amersham mayor Mimi Harker - an ex student at the academy.

Andy Garnett, vice chairman of the Chiltern Chamber, said: "It was really uplifting to see youngsters with enthusiasm and well thought out business plans. I was very impressed with what they had to say and present."
