CHILDREN will be able to put their creative talents into operation on an art-wall during a nine-hour music marathon in High Wycombe on Sunday.

Some of the area’s premier bands have been fine-tuning their act ahead of the second annual outdoor music festival Frogfest in Frogmoor.

In addition to the two stages of live music and street entertainment, youngsters are being urged to take part in a “crowd contributed” art project.

Oliver O’Dell, chief executive of the High Wycombe District Business Company organising the event, said: “The live art wall will be overseen by Dan Wilson, who is also working with us on the mural for the Brunel Sheds at Wycombe Railway Station.

“The intention is that children of any age - and some adults if they wish - will be able to draw on the art wall during the event and we will end up with a piece of unique crowd-contributed art.”

The Ska Souls will headline the main stage - with other performers including HartBeats, Splash the Cash, Antix and Sam Brown’s Ukulele Orchestra.

Artists performing on the acoustic stage include Maz Manzini, Amir Sharma, Ant Barnes, Let there Be Light, Jack Kozera and Harry Quinn.

Children can watch Punch and Judy and Shambolic Sideshow showcase their circus skills, take part in a bandana workshop and have their face painted.

Kitch Me Kwik will once again have their traditional teashop in operation and retro clothes on display alongside Ruby Moon’s stand.

Ruby Moon and Scorpios Bar are supporting HWBIDCo in organising the free event – which kicks off at noon on Sunday and concludes at about 9pm.
