A PLAQUE dedicated to the Flackwell Heath Home Guard during WWII will be unveiled this week.

The unveiling has been planned by a Flackwell Heath Royal British Legion member in honour of his late father and his comrades.

The men would parade and drill at the small piece of land between the junction of Chapman Lane and Green Dragon Lane, where the plaque is due to be unveiled.

The Flackwell Heath Legion will also hold an unveiling and dedication ceremony on the same day.

The ceremony will be officiated by Rev. Chris Bull.

The unveiling will be on Wednesday, May 28 at 11am.
