WORKERS from a pharmaceutical firm stopped by at a crisis-hit adventure centre earlier this month to do their bit and help the charity put the water-logged memories of the winter flooding behind it.
Last Friday a team from Johnson & Johnson ventured out to Longridge in Marlow for their annual community day where they spent a day lending a hand in the community.
This year they again decided to lend their support to Longridge, where they had also helped in previous years.
Director Chris Fountain said: “We are responsible to the communities in which we live and work, and to the world community as well. For the past three years the J&J Application Services IT team have taken those words and lived that credo.
“Not only is very rewarding for the whole team, giving each of us a great deal of satisfaction in seeing the fruits of our labor, but we also have a lot of fun and bond together as a team as well.”
Although the hot, humid weather did not particularly help their undertaking last week, the team worked hard to clear an area for a new bin store.
They also helped the centre with some gardening, some hedge cutting, and they picked litter and painted benches at the centre.
After the event the operations manager, Emaleen Dean, thanked the team for working so hard and making a difference to the site.
