A COUNCIL has announced it will vote again on its vice chairman for the forthcoming year after it “did not follow the correct procedures”.
Cllr Ken Tucker was elected deputy chairman of Hazlemere Parish Council at its Annual Parish Meeting last Monday.
But the result was declared ‘null and void’ as Cllr Natasha Howard, deputy chair for the past year, was wrongly asked to leave the room for the vote.
Councillors are in fact allowed to vote for themselves – so the election will be held again at Tuesday’s Full Council meeting at 8pm on Tuesday.
Cllr Brian Mapletoft was duly elected as chairman once again.
