ALAN Turner will preside as Princes Risborough Town Council chairman and mayor for another year.
The aim of the council was to split the role of chairman and mayor to manage the increasing workload.
But through further investigations the councillors discovered they were unable to do this.
Instead the vice chairman will be the deputy mayor too and will attend the bulk of ceremonial duties on behalf of the mayor.
Wally Woolf was chosen as the deputy mayor, as Will Streule, who was also nominated, said he would find it difficult to fulfil this role due to the nature of the weekend work.
