Litter mound to be created in town centre
THE amount of litter collected in High Wycombe town centre will be displayed in a mound this weekend, to show the extent of the problem.
Wycombe District Council's waste team will build a litter mound on a market stall in High Wycombe this Saturday between 9.30am and 2.30pm to show the size of the problem.
The litter mound will be a sample of all the rubbish dropped by the public in the centre in one day.
Everyone visiting the stall can enter a competition to win £50 in Love2Shop vouchers by answering some questions about litter.
Community groups can get in touch with the Joint Waste Team to arrange a cleanup.
