A GROUP of singers, who have not even been together for a year, entertained a host of dignitaries.

The Aca-Holics, who hail from Lane End, entertained 300 guests at the former Wycombe District Council chairman's, Ian McEnnis, annual civic reception.

The quartet consists of three ladies from Lane End; Czarmé Pooley (baritone), Katy Donaghue (bass) and Laura Ogle (who sings lead and is also owner of Gateway Barbers).

Sue Hunt (tenor) travels up from Surrey every week to rehearsals.

This a-cappella barbershop quartet sang All I have to Do is Dream by the Everly Brothers to Moon River, all without the aid of sheet music or backing instruments.

Katy said: "We thoroughly enjoyed the event and it was a great opportunity to introduce more people to the wonders of barbershop singing". The quartet is now looking forward to competing at their next competition in Bournemouth in June.
