ENTERTAINER founder Gary Grant gave his life story during a talk at a packed Prestwood church on Friday.

Mr Grant started out selling ball bearings out of skateboards in order to make rollerskates, before opening his first toy shop in Amersham in 1981.

Since then The Entertainer has opened a further 90 franchises around the world - the most recent of which came last week in Abu Dhabi. It's estimated the business sells one in every five toys bought in Britain each year.

During his talk at the Holy Trinity Church Mr Grant recalled what he was told by his scout master as a boy: "Either you'll be locked up or you'll be a millionaire."
