MONEY was stolen after a football team's clubhouse was ransacked over the weekend.

Thieves broke into the clubhouse at Risborough Rangers on Friday night, destroying property and stealing a cash till and a coin jar.

Police investigating the incident believe the stolen items were taken from the scene in a black wheelie bin.

As well as breaking into the clubhouse the thieves also forced their way into a pitchside portable building - before kicking footballs stored there onto the pitch.

The offence was carried out at the club's home in Horsenden Lane between 6pm on Friday May 30 and 7.30am the following morning and Thames Valley Police have now launched an appeal for information.

Anyone with information or who saw any suspicious activity in the area should contact PC Rachel Kluger from High Wycombe police station on 101, or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
