TWO petitions which were launched after Wycombe District Council published their future development plans earlier this year have now reached more than 2,000 signatures between them.

The WDC Local Plan has earmarked Slate Meadow, land separating Bourne End and Wooburn Green, as a possible site for a 175-home development.

While in Flackwell Heath there have been plans for a new M40 junction to be built in Spring Lane.

The Save Slate Meadow petition led by a Bourne End-based campaign group has almost 1,050 signatures.

In a bid to fight the potential new Junction 3a, a farm on Spring Lane has fought back with a written and e-petition.

Save Cobbles Farm received almost 300 written signatures and their e-petition is just a few signatures away from reaching 1,000.
