A 15-YEAR-OLD boy needed hospital treatment after being attacked in Downley by two men - one of whom claimed he had a knife.

The youngster was punched several times and had a tooth broken during the attack, which police are treating as a robbery as the two men demanded mobile phones.

The teenager was walking through the park near St James Church with his girlfriend at 9pm last night when they were approached from behind by two men.

One of the men punched the victim several times and demanded his mobile phone, while the second offender claimed he had a knife and repeated the demands for their mobile phones to be handed over.

The victim was assaulted again before the two offenders walked away, without taking anything.

The boy was taken to Stoke Mandeville Hospital for treatment for bruising and a broken tooth.

Thames Valley Police have today launched an appeal for witnesses to the robbery.

Officers investigating the incident describe the first offender as white, around 24-years-old, of medium build and around 6ft 2in tall. He was clean shaven, had an earring in his left ear and was wearing a white hooded top and grey jogging bottoms.

The second offender was wearing dark clothing.
