Naphill schoolboy earns all 39 Cub Scout badges

First published in

A CUB Scout has joined a select group of youngsters to have earned all 39 badges.

Ben Pease, 10, has been presented with his 39th and final badge by the Fifth High Wycombe Scouts Group – leaving his dad Steven with a “tear in his eye”.

Previously a Beaver, the Naphill and Walters Ash School pupil joined the Cubs determined to collect every badge.

Mr Pease said: "When he was a Beaver, he got 17 out of 18 at the Beavers so he has always been keen to get as many badges as he could."

There are 33 red activity badges and six blue stage badges available to work towards and collect, all of which are featured on Ben's Cub Scout uniform.

Ben is due to move up to the Scouts next week and his dad said he is already looking forward to collecting all 69 badges up for grabs.
