A SOCIETY in Bourne End for retired and semi-retired businessmen has had two varied talks over the last few months.

The Bourne End and Cookham Probus Club were given a talk in March about the different species of birds whilst in April a former customs officer spoke candidly about his career.

Following a meal in March, Brian Clews gave a talk about the ‘Birds of Berkshire and Buckinghamshire’.

The group were involved in the discussion about the different species which are known to the two counties.

The talk from the ex-Heathrow Airport Customs Officer lifted the lid of “40 years of catching smugglers”.
