A NURSERY in Marlow has achieved major national recognition after after parent praise put it in the top five of a regional league table for the UK’s early years providers.

Victoria House Day Nursery was rated 5th out of 1726 of its counterparts in the south east of England by the industry online directory Day Nurseries.

The list scrutinised thousands of parent recommendations for Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ and ‘Good’ early years providers, with the Victoria Road centre coming near the top of the pile.

Manager, Karen Vockins, said: “We really couldn’t be more delighted or proud because it is our very busy parents who made this award possible.

“They are incredibly supportive of Victoria House and instrumental in helping us ensure that every child gets the very best nursery experience. That is why their praise and recommendations mean so much.”

Julian Carro, who has two daughters at the nursery, said the award was well deserved and particularly praised the ‘introductory Spanish classes that enhance his eldest daughter’s appreciation of her heritage.

He said: “My daughters are content and happy and clearly thriving in this loving environment. We have always felt comfortable leaving our precious ones at Victoria House and wholeheartedly recommend it.”

The award is based on the nursery’s online recommendations from parents, relatives and guardians of the children at Victoria House, part of the employee-owned Childbase Partnership.
