MOTORISTS are being advised to expect queues on the M40 after a fatal collision involving a car and a lorry this morning.

Police were called to the collision just before junction 9 near Bicester on the M40 at 11.20am.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene and one other occupant of the vehicle has been airlifted to hospital.

The southbound carriageway is currently closed and motorists are being advised to avoid the area.

Emergency services are still believed to be at the scene.
