HOLLYWOOD superstar Harrison Ford reportedly broke his ankle in an on-set accident while filming the new Star Wars film in south Bucks.

The veteran actor had to be airlifted to hospital following the accident yesterday at Pinewood Studios in Iver Heath.

A health and safety investigation could be launched off the back of the incident, which saw Ford - who is once again taking on the role of Han Solo in the latest movie - hurt by a garage door.

Police and an air ambulance were called to the studios, with Ford being taken to Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital for treatment.
