AN ARREST has been made as police investigate a spate of mail thefts.
A number of thefts of mail have been reported in the Hazlemere, Loudwater and Ryemead areas, usually from the communal hallways of flats.
The High Wycombe Neighbourhood Team, which is leading the investigation, say an arrest was made in Loudwater. The suspect has been released on bail while further enquiries are made.
Officers have urged residents to discuss with their management committees or landlords and neighbours how to make their property as secure as possible, and to be aware that thieves target mail boxes.
Anyone with information, or who sees something suspicious, should contact the Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
