PLANNING permission has finally been given to turn former sheltered housing into homes in Lane End.
Sidney House in Denham Road in the village has been left empty since the last elderly residents moved out in November 2004.
But now planning officers have given the go-ahead for 13 two storey terraced houses which will consist of nine two bed and four three bed.
The current building will be partially demolished and 34 parking spaces will be provided, along with cycle parking.
Catalyst Housing Limited are building the homes for local authority social housing use.
