THE death of a pensioner caused by a fall was an accident, a coroner has ruled.
Joy Goddard was found dead at her home in Penn Meadow, Stoke Poges, on April 28.
An inquest heard the 85-year-old widow was found in her living room by her gardener Alfred Hilton, who became concerned for her welfare after she failed to come out the house to see what he was doing despite him being at the property for over an hour.
A post mortem concluded Mrs Goddard died from bleeding on the brain caused by a fall.
