PROPERTY developers who now own a former Ministry of Defence site in Beaconsfield say they will not let a legal challenge hold up the development.

Inland Homes said they are confident that the High Court decision to permit Jansons to have its claim for Judicial Review heard later this year will not prevent their redevelopment of Wilton Park.

Jansons Property was successful last week in being allowed to have a review into the selling process of the Wilton Park site.

Paul Brett, Land Director, for Inland Homes, said: “Jansons have been given permission to have their legal challenge to our redevelopment of Wilton Park heard by the High Court later this year, but we are confident that when the Court hears the claim in full it will find that it has no merit.

“In the meantime, we will not allow Jansons' challenge to hold up the redevelopment of Wilton Park which has considerable benefits to the Beaconsfield Community.

“We will continue to work closely with the local community and authorities to deliver the redevelopment.”

Inland added the merits of Jansons' claim were not considered at the hearing on June 12, 2014, and the question was merely whether there was an argument that should be considered at a further and full hearing.

They hope to continue to deliver significant benefits to the community including sports pitches, parkland, sports community facilities and affordable housing.

They are also continuing to work with South Buckinghamshire District Council and Buckinghamshire County Council for the delivery of the proposed relief road, they told the Bucks Free Press.
