WATER has been spraying across a road in Holtspur for almost two hours after an underground pipe was damaged.

Residents have said the spectacle of the water hasn’t caused them any problems, but have said they will imagine the water will soon be shut off.

The water is coming from the ground outside a property in Mayflower Way, Holtspur.

A house is soon to be built on the site and builders have been working there recently.

One resident said it was funny to see the school children trying to dodge the water, which goes across to the opposite pavement.

Thames Water are currently on the scene.

A Thames Water spokesman said the problem occured after a 'builder went through the pipe'.

It is now 11pm and the water is still gushing across the road despite numerous calls to Thames Valley Water. Surely it should not take 8 hours or more to sort out a serious leak.
