A 22-YEAR-old is leaping out of a plane at 10,000 feet in memory of his mum and to help a four-year-old girl.
Mike Sutton, who is moving from Holmer Green to Castlefield this week, is doing a sky dive tomorrow at Banbury.
His mum, Debbie Atherton, died 11 years ago on the same day (June 26), aged 41 from cancer.
Mike, 22, is asking for sponsorship for the jump to raise money for a four-year-old called Esme from Windsor who has Rett Syndrome, which causes severe physical and mental disability.
Her dad, Anthony, helped him and his brother at the time when his mum died by always being there for them.
Mike said: "This is my first skydive. I am doing it tandem.
"It is pretty nerve racking but knowing it is going to a good cause helps."
Esme's parents would like to set up a foundation for her but they need £5,000 to start a charity based foundation. Mike is hoping to raise as much money as he can.
If you would like to sponsor Mike call him on 07715 423692.
