OARSMEN and women took to Dorney Lake in dragonboats to raise more than £10,000 for charity.
The second annual Dragon Boat Challenge, organised by the Rotary Club of High Wycombe, attracted 32 teams from across the region and raised more than £10,000 for KidsinSport, the Lily Foundation and other Rotary charities.
A large crowd cheered on from the riverbank as the team from Watford-based Fairland Contractors took the gold medal and best-dressed prize.
They were presented with their awards by Wycombe MP Steve Baker and officers from the District & High Wycombe Rotary & Inner Wheel Clubs.
Sunday’s event also featured children’s entertainment, a craft fair, a barbecue and refreshments stands.
