THE achievements of a pair of beauty students from a Hazlemere school will inspire fellow pupils to attain similar goals.

Alexandra Hyde, a level two beauty therapist at the Beauty Academy at Sir William Ramsay School, was a runner-up in the World Skills Competition.

Meanwhile, her schoolmate Megan Avery, a level three therapist, beat hundreds of applicants to land a job on a Steiner cruiseship.

Amanda Hall, head of the Beauty Academy at the Rose Avenue-based school, said: “I am very proud of them; it goes to show other students what they can do if they work hard on this course.

“I think what they have achieved has already inspired other students and we’re hoping to have someone from Steiner come in to give a talk.”
