A RARE white squirrel has been spotted in Loudwater.
An amateur wildlife photographer and blogger was able to get a picture of the squirrel while she was in the area.
The pictures were taken in the gardens of the London Road and Kingsmead Park area.
Emma Tingay from High Wycombe said: “I sent this photo to wildlife experts who told me the squirrel isn't an albino but a rare white squirrel.
“I'm used to snapping the squirrels of Loudwater but to have such a rarity turn up - it's like winning the wildlife lottery.”
Emma added I have only seen him or her, two or three times and it usually vanishes in the direction of Hammersley Lane.
The squirrel is said to have Leucism - a recessive gene in grey squirrels which turns them pure white, while their eyes remain black.
