THE Mayor of High Wycombe is on the lookout for a fundraiser to run on behalf of the Mayor’s Appeal at the Wycombe Half Marathon.

Mayor Khalil Ahmed is looking for a willing runner to pull on a t-shirt emblazoned with Mayoral Crest to raise funds for his chosen charities, Diabetes UK and the Cardiomyopathy Association.

He said: “I really appreciate what people do for charity and great causes.

“But if there’s someone taking part who isn’t yet doing it in aid of a charity, I would be more than happy to print them a shirt with the Mayor’s Crest and accept any money they raise on behalf of the Mayor’s Appeal.”

The Wycombe Half Marathon gets underway from The Rye at 9am on July 20.
