DEPARTMENTS at Holmer Green Senior School pulled together to put on a successful art exhibition.

The Faculty of Design put on their seventh annual summer exhibition with work exhibited by GCSE, AS and A2 students.

The event was a team effort with staff and students working together with catering students providing refreshments and music pupils playing live music.

Prefects from Year 10 played the role of host, looking after the many guests who attended.

Headteacher Mike Jones said: "The standard as ever was so impressive and it fills me with such pride to see the creativity and talent on display. My huge thanks go out to the team of staff who have provided such a range of opportunities for our students."

Head of design Rachel Golding said they are very proud of their students and the work they have produced.

The school is also looking forward to the opening of its new sixth form centre and design and technology facility in September, which new students and parents were given the opportunity to see.

Maxine Arpino James, member of the sixth form student Management team said: "The new area feels like ours, the business team have worked with us, so that we have achieved the best possible area for the sixth form which allows us to work to the best of our abilities in clear quiet spaces."
