A WALK which has been to raise money for two charities saw almost 100 people take part.

The Jolly Jaunt took place on Saturday night at 7pm from Higginson Park in Marlow to raise money for South Bucks Hospice and Scannappeal.

Naomi Riches, Paralympic gold medallist from Marlow led the walk with people taking part dressed as hippies, ravers and 80s girls.

Last year the walk was called Marlow Twilight 10 but was renamed this year. Prior to the walk taking place in Marlow it was known as the Wycombe Wander.

There was a choice of a four or eight and a half mile route, and Naomi gave out the medals at the end.

A barbecue was provided, courtesy of Marlow and Marlow Thames Rotaries and Asda High Wycombe.

One walker said: "It’s been such a good evening and the weather has been perfect for the walk. It’s been really well organised, we’ve had a fun night full of laughs and the barbecue was the perfect way to top it off."

The charities are waiting on final confirmation of the amount of money raised from the event with sponsorship pledges from walkers totalling almost £2,000 with a further £1,400 raised online.
