A FOOTBALL tournament and fundraising day raised £1,400 for the Alexander Jansons Foundation.
The fundraiser at John Hampden Grammar School in High Wycombe was held on June 28, in memory of Alexander Jansons.
The Penn resident died suddenly last summer from a heart condition called mycocarditis, aged 18.
His family set up a foundation to raise awareness of the condition and raise money for research.
There was a balloon release on the fundraiser day. The one to reach the furthest will win £60 in John Lewis vouchers..
The race ends the end of July but the furthest recorded so far is at the top of the steeple at St Albans Cathedral.
