GUNS and drugs were found at a house in Chalfont St Giles in a police raid.

Two firearms along with ammunition was found in a garage at a property in Narcot Road in a police search on Thursday morning.

Officers also recovered what they describe as a 'substantial quantity' of drugs from the scene.

Firearms officers attended a property in Grove Hill the following day in connection with the operation.

Supt Steve Hockin, Chiltern and South Bucks LPA Commander, said: "Gun crime in the Chalfonts is extremely rare and residents should not be concerned following the operation.

"Those who are concerned with the supply of drugs and possess firearms should be aware that Thames Valley Police treats all reports seriously and the community should feel reassured that we will take robust action against those who offend.

"While there was no perceived threat to the community officers attending the second address were armed for their own protection, I would like to recognise the bravery of all of the officers who are on the frontline protecting Chiltern and South Bucks."
