POLICE have dropped an investigation into an alleged sexual assault in Chesham after officers established “no offence took place.”

The Free Press reported on Sunday that a woman in her thirties was allegedly sexually assaulted after she was pushed into a bush by a man in Overdale Road at about 2.30am that day.

Thames Valley Police announced today that following the conclusion of a full and thorough investigation, officers had closed the case.

The force added: “It has been established that no offence took place.”
