A DISABLED man has slammed inconsiderate drivers who park on the pavements.

In the Marlow Free Press last month we reported on inconsiderate drivers who park on pavements in the town. And William Wosik, who uses a motorised scooter, to navigate the streets of Marlow said he could not agree more.

The 64-year-old said: "I am in Marlow every day and the problem with people parking on the pavements is absolutely ridiculous. "It is just laziness. That is all it is."

He said he is unable to get pass cars parked on the pavements and often has to resort to going onto the road.

Mr Wosik added: "I have actually damaged my scooter twice because of people parking on the pavement and I can't get through. "Sometimes there is a kerb and I have to drop down onto the road. Do you know how dangerous that is?"

He admitted that most people in Marlow are "very good" but there are one of two who jump out their cars to pop into a shop, rather than finding a car parking space.

Mr Wosik, who lives in Sandygate Road, is classed as severely disabled. He has had two back operations and a leg operation.

He added: "There are a lot of people here who need to use scooters or wheel chairs to get around. "Without my scooter I would be housebound."
