RECYCLING bins in the High Street in Princes Risborough could be removed, due to their unsightly appearance.

It was agreed at Tuesday night's town council meeting that they will ask Wycombe District Council to remove the bins.

This follows a refusal by WDC to buy new bins, as they are "too expensive."

Cllr Alan Turner said: "It drags down the appearance of the town centre."

But Cllr Bill Bendyshe-Brown said although they don't suit all areas, they could be relocated so people could still recycle.

Councillors voted in favour of removing the bins. There are larger recycling bins in the car park by Marks and Spencer.
