MARLOW has lost two huge personalities, said the mother of an 18-year-old who tragically died in a road collision on holiday earlier this month.

The family of James Fifield who died in Zante, Greece, on Saturday, July 5, also know the family of Great Marlow School student Kyrece Francis, who lost his life in the river Thames last week.

James’s mother, Claire Fifield-Moore has now paid tribute to the 13-year-old.

She said: "I couldn’t believe it when we heard the news about Kyrece. It is just such, such, sad news.

"I can’t believe it, so quickly after James. This small town has lost two huge, young, personalities in just weeks.

"Jasmine (James’ younger sister) knew Kyrece and she has been down at the river with other friends paying tribute to him.

"We know how hard and shocking it is and we just hope his family will be alright.

"Other than the family the people that can be the most affected by this are friends.

"For James his friends had to deal with it in Zante and for Kyrece his friends apparently were there and tried to help him from the water."

James's friends have set up a donations page to raise money towards reimbursing his family, who had to pay to fly James's body home from Greece https://www.justgiving.com/yimby/forjames/
