BEACONSFIELD Fire Station was recently given a new water rescue boat to help boost Bucks and Milton Keynes Fire and Rescue operations.

Two new high specification ‘Zodiac Milpro’ boats will be based at Beaconsfield Fire Station and Newport Pagnell station, in Milton Keynes.

Crews from both areas recently posed for pictures with the two inflatables.

Paul Harrison, the lead officer for water rescue, welcomed the news boats, which were given to crews last month.

He said: “I believe that with our new Zodiac Milpro boats and their Mercedes support vehicles, the people of Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes can be assured that we now have the best possible water rescue equipment available for the risks we currently face.”

This has come after an investment of £30,000 by Bucks and Milton Keynes Fire Authority in support of the commitment to maintaining safety within communities.
