A NEW playground in Flackwell Heath appears to have been happily accepted by children in the village.

The rejuvenation work on playground equipment in the Recreation Ground in Straight Bit was finished last week.

The first phase of Chepping Wycombe Parish Council’s plans to revitalise the park area has cost £85,000.

Old equipment in park was replaced with modern climbing frames and a 6.7 metre high tower.

The work was carried out in Flackwell Heath as part of wider plans to revitalise the main playgrounds in each of the council’s three wards.

Old equipment in Loudwater Park was recently replaced while work on Ashley Park in Tylers Green is soon to begin.
