A HOUSING developer will have a second bite of the cherry from this week after submitting a fresh set of plans for a major development at the gateway to Marlow town centre.

Shanly Group has entered a new application for its Windsor House project on the corner of Spittal and Dean Streets, after the firm withdrew its first proposal.

The new plans see the 14-home development reduced to 11, with the housing developer revealing Marks and Spencer want to move into the ground floor of the proposed mock-Georgian block.

After feedback from residents and the public, the mews housing at the back was scrapped.

And the plans were revealed to the public at a consultation event last month, held in the ground floor of the former HMV offices that the new housing would replace.

Shanly Group told the MFP the new plans were submitted late last week, though the application has not yet been verified by WDC. It will be available for public viewing shortly.
