POLICE were called to Sir William Ramsay school this morning after reports of intruders on school property. An officer along with a search dog were dispatched to the secondary school in Rose Avenue, Hazlemere at around 11am.

Headteacher Gaynor Comber said a member of staff had spotted two people at the rear of the playing field on the school boundary during break time. She said for safety reasons they had followed procedure and called the police.

Lessons continued as normal, and Mrs Comber said: "We're going to have a word with the kids this afternoon. We're just going to explain to them that we had an intruder on site and that we did what we have to do and called the boys in blue."
