A MARLOW pensioner is settling in to his new life after becoming the first resident to move in to a huge new retirement complex in Marlow.

Clieveden Manor, on Little Marlow Road, has opened its doors after a massive construction project and features 63 ‘assisted living suites’ for residential and nursing care.

And Wallace Mackenzie from Marlow is the first to take up residence in the new town landmark, which also offers separate accommodation for dementia care.

Mr Mackenzie will be joined by a new community of residents over the next few months in the complex at the eastern gateway to Marlow near the A404.

Sarah Loveday of Signature, which operates the centre, said: “Cliveden Manor opened its doors and welcomed its first residents last week, which was an exciting time for all.

“The team have spent the last few months preparing for opening and are relishing at last having residents to welcome and help settle in their new home.”
