A 17-YEAR-OLD boy has been charged with alleged criminal damage, as police continue to tackle a graffiti problem in Hazlemere.

According to officers, Hazlemere Parish Council has had to spend almost £2,500 on graffiti removal, plus administration costs.

This is money that should be spent on positive improvements to the local community and for the benefit of people who live in the area, they added.

Chepping Wye Valley Neighbourhood Team officer, Sgt Mat Lloyd, said: “We hope that this sends a message to those who cause criminal damage in our area.

“Graffiti It is an eyesore, it impacts of the quality of life for all incidents and increases the fear of crime in what is otherwise a very nice area to live in.”
