FIVE generations of the same family came together to help one of Prestwood's best known residents celebrate her 100th birthday.

Sue Wooster became a centenarian last week and celebrated by having two parties.

Neighbours and immediate family members came round to her home in Clare Road on her actual birthday, Wednesday, August 13.

Then on Saturday 16 her house was packed to the rafters as nearly her whole family - three children, seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 18-month-old great-great-grandson Riley - came round for a second party.

And there was plenty of cake doing the rounds at both of Sue's get togethers.

Daughter Jill Thompson said: "The salon in Prestwood did her hair for her for free and gave her a cake. Someone else came round with a cake and one of my daughters couldn't make it so took her a cake beforehand. She ended up with about five cakes and she's delivered some of them around Prestwood."

Sue was born and raised in High Wycombe and also lived in Great Kingshill before moving to Prestwood around 20 years ago with husband Ralph, who passed away just before the couple's 50th wedding anniversary.

Jill said: "She's well known around the village. As soon as she moved here she joined every group.

"She still enjoys life very much and still very active - we're very lucky."
