TEN girls from Beaconsfield High School gained a clean sweep of A*s this year as the school continued its GCSE success.

In total 67 girls at the school achieved only A* and A grades across all subjects this year while 80 per cent of Year 10 students achieved the same feat.

Headteacher Annette France said: “These are excellent results from both year groups. Y11 have proved themselves to be an outstanding group of people, not just academically, but socially and in every area of school achievement.

“We will watch their progress with great interest.”

Charlotte Spruzen, from Farnham Common, collected eight A*s and is now looking forward to the future.

She said: “I am so happy, I really cannot believe it, I did better than I thought I would.

“I am hoping to stay on here for Sixth Form and then eventually I would like to go onto study Physics or Maths at university.”

Another student who has now set her sights on Oxford University after collecting 8*s and 4As is Natalie Russo.

She said: “I really want to go to Oxford to study a modern foreign language.

“For GCSE I studied French, Spanish and Latin and I got an A* in each of them.

“I am obviously really happy with all my results, especially my English where I did a lot better than I expected.”

Kate Lemon was another 16-year-old who was happy with her results after achieving a clean sweep of A*s and a C in additional maths.

She said: “It is probably the best I could have wished for, I am really, really, really happy. I couldn’t believe it when I saw my results.”
