HOLMER Green Senior School achieved the best results in their history as they had a ten per cent rise in the number of pupils achieving five A*-C grades.

A record 64 per cent of students achieved five A*-C passes, including English and maths.

Kate McLauchlan achieved four A*s and five A grades, while Toby Hale secured two A*s and seven As and Alicia Boyes managed two A*s, five As and two B grades.

Headteacher Michael Jones said: "Congratulations to all our students on working so hard to achieve such a pleasing set of grades. They, and their extremely supportive families, thoroughly deserve their success.

"A huge thank you also to all the staff who taught them so well and gave such terrific support above and beyond the call of duty. I am so proud to lead a team of colleagues that nurture our students’ confidence and abilities so that they are able to achieve so well."
