A HOSPICE is inviting people to come and visit for an open gardens event next weekend in a bid to boost funds for the construction of its new, state of the art building.

Whilst enjoying a cream tea and a glass of fizz you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings and admire the blooming plants, flowers, listen to talks from our landscaper and there will also be a chance for guests to find out more about our new build project and see the updated South Bucks Hospice plans.

Jo Woolf said: "Our garden provides a place of refuge and promotes healing in patients, families, and staff. The garden is a place of calm and solace. Background noise falls away and there’s an element of freedom outside that you or I can’t understand. That’s just one of the many reasons why our beautiful garden at the Hospice is so vitally important for the quality of life for our patients and specifically aims to improve health outcomes"

The Hospice recently had the support of local community groups to transform the garden – from the edges to the summer house, everything is freshly painted and pruned.

The works on the new build are planned to get underway from next January.
