WATERLOGGED fields have meant a change of venue for this year's Chalfont St Giles Show.

It has this week had to decamp from its usual home at Stone and Silsden Meadows in the centre of the village to Cameron Farm in Narcot Lane.

All the planned attractions for this year's show will go ahead as planned on Saturday, September 6.

Flight is the theme for this year's event and a series of displays will have people looking skywards.

A falconry display, sports kites pulling 100ft tails and hot air balloon rides have all been lined up.

For animal lovers there will be a dog show running throughout the day and a sheep show - back by popular demand after last year's event.

Tickets are £4 for adults and £3 for juniors aged five-17 and senior citizens if bought in advance, while adult tickets bought on the day are £6. Children under the age of five can get in for free.

The show runs from 11-6pm and free mini buses will be running from the village centre to the show venue throughout the day.
