A TEAM of accountants totted up the pennies as they scaled three of Britain’s biggest mountains for charity.

The self-styled Puffing and Panting Brigade completed the Three Peaks Challenge in an effort to raise money for the Wycombe Homeless Connection on Saturday.

Sharon Chiyangwa and her friends Christian Hands, Ben Rackstraw and Philip Rackstraw from Dashwoods Chartered Certified Accountants set an initial goal of raising £1,000 for WHC which helps provide advocacy and shelter for the homeless.

Ms Chiyangwa said: “After volunteering for Wycombe Homeless Connection for Night Shelter I realised that contrary to popular belief people who are homeless aren’t always in that situation because of their own making.

“It made me understand that we can’t always be in control of what happens to us as humans but we can always help each other out of the mess we find ourselves in.

“The charity does a lot to help rebuild the lives of those who are homeless.”
