A FURTHER £40,000 is needed to be raised for Chepping Wycombe Parish Council to complete work on new playground equipment in Flackwell Heath.
The council have so far spent £85,000 on implementing the new facilities to make it more enjoyable for villagers.
However, plans for an official opening were postponed last month as they hoped to continue the refurbishment.
Cllr David Johncock said: “We were delighted to see that almost immediately, the new facility was swarming with dozens of children enjoying every facet of the new equipment and the novelty does not seem to have worn off even after several weeks of intensive use.”
Councillors were also keen to thanks the Flackwell Heath Residents Association who made a major contribution for the first phase of the playground.
