A FORMER Wycombe Wanderers footballer has been formally charged in relation to an investigation into alleged match fixing.
Delroy Facey was yesterday charged with conspiracy to commit bribery by the National Crime Agency.
The 34-year-old, who was part of the Wanderers team that lost in the League Two promotion play-offs in 2008, was originally arrested last November.
The National Crime Agency said the former forward is due to appear before magistrates in Cannock, Staffordshire, today.
In a statement the Agency said: "The Crown Prosecution Service’s Organised Crime Division authorised the charges on the basis that there is a realistic prospect of conviction and that a prosecution is in the public interest."
